Community of Practice
Overview
ACCESS+ engages year-long cohorts of STEM Professional Society change leaders as they undertake guided DEI assessments, facilitated action planning, and transformative work within and between their organizations. Through a Community of Practice, a suite of evidence-based tools and resources, and DEI mini-grants (up to $2,000), ACCESS+ supports participating STEM Professional Societies in collaborating, sharing promising policies and practices, generating new knowledge, and creating collective change for national impact.
When it comes to DEI, ACCESS+ helps STEM Professional Societies:
- Develop key competencies
- Identify organizational strengths and opportunities
- Create strategic action plans for meaningful change
- Learn about resources, policies, and practices to support their efforts
- Collaborate with experts and peers to meet their goals
- Exchange knowledge and resources
- Gain funding through DEI mini-grants to support their work
